Ancora takes environmental matters seriously and we expect our divers to respect and understand their role as visitors to the underwater world. Whether professional oceanographers, deep sea tourists, or citizen-scientists, we hope that learning how to breathe underwater will empower our new divers to make a positive difference and help ensure the health of our oceans. Ancora will always be an advocate for the protection of our planet and has allied with a few other organizations in order to support new research projects, educational strategies, and even social campaigns, dedicated to the defense of our oceans and the life they sustain. Besides publishing a select few of our partners’ field, dive, and expedition reports in Arcadia Journal, we also host several speakers throughout the year as part of our annual environmentally-themed lecture series and groupthink sessions.
