Wrecks and ruins, paintings and ports – Ancora is dedicated to preserving submarine elements of historical material culture worldwide. Our active partnerships with underwater archaeology and exploration groups allow us to contribute to the collective effort of various international bodies to identify, protect, and preserve our shared underwater heritage for future generations. While Ancora divers make frequent research and site maintenance dives, we are also committed to responsibly putting as many divers as possible in direct contact with the submerged material legacy of past generations. Through exposure to this cultural legacy, Ancora joins the United Nations in its fight against looting and commercial exploitation in direct accordance to the resolutions put forward during the most recent UNESCO Convention on the Protection of Underwater Cultural Heritage.
